Nancy Jeanne DiBacco Fagan June 28, 1935 - February 25, 2012 After suffering a series of complications resulting from a hospitalization in December 2011, Nancy Fagan, 76, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2012 surrounded by her family at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. Nancy was born in Elkins, West Virginia on June 28, 1935. She moved to Asheville in 1956 where she met Asheville native W. Ron Fagan, Sr., her husband of 53 years. Together, they raised three children, making Asheville their home until 2009 when they moved to Cherry Springs Village in Hendersonville, NC. A true optimist under any circumstance, Nancy’s can-do spirit and boundless generosity touched the lives of many people. Always willing to lend a hand, an ear, and her last dollar, Nancy was a generous, caring woman with a strong faith and belief in God who brought as much joy and comfort as she could to everyone she knew, whether they were family, friends or someone she’d just met. In addition to being loyal, smart, talented and funny, Nancy was a true beauty inside and out. A faithful, loving wife and an adoring, compassionate mother, Nancy took her greatest joy in what she felt was her greatest accomplishment – her three children, three grandchildren and two great-grand children. In everything she did, she was a classy lady in the truest sense of the word. She will be greatly missed. Nancy is survived by husband W. Ron Fagan, Sr. of Hendersonville NC; son W. Ron Fagan, Jr. and wife Ann Kiser Fagan of Asheville, NC; daughter Teri Jeanne Fagan and partner James Hoffman of Fletcher, NC; daughter Tracy Carmen Fagan Brown and husband Matt Brown of Mooresville, NC; grandson Daniel Gregory Miller of Fletcher; granddaughter Jourdan Jeanne Miller and partner P.J. Davis of Asheville; granddaughter Natalie Escher Fagan Brown of Mooresville; and great-granddaughters Stella Jeanne Miller and Olivia Marie Miller, both of Asheville; and four siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents Alta Jeanne Runner DiBacco and Sabie Pasquale DiBacco; her sister Sandy DiBacco Stuhldreher Volz; and her brother Gregory DiBacco.
